Peonies from Mom

One Sunday afternoon while walking through Trader Joe's my mom and I came across peonies for sale.  I'd never gotten peonies before and had no idea the scope of what the tiny pink bulbs were capable of.  My mom bought me two bouquets of the very showy flower to enjoy at my desk.  For two weeks the flowers did not disappoint for one second.  This picture was taken after the height of their colorful explosion.  The bright, vivacious bold pink is replaced by this soft, delicate pink as they begin to fade out of existence.  The whole experience with the flowers was magical from beginning to end.  It was a fun day, fun present and great memory!
